Presenter Preview: Wiley Harwell and Tana Russell

Wiley Harwell, D.Min, LPC, ICGC-II, CGT is executive director of the Oklahoma Association for Problem and Compulsive Gambling (OAPCG).  He has a Doctor of Ministry degree from Southern Methodist University, a Master of Divinity from Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, and a bachelor’s degree from Wayland Baptist University.  Wiley is a licensed professional counselor, a certified employee assistance professional, advanced certification in hypnotherapy, and is an International Certified Gambling Counselor-II.  OAPCG is the official affiliate of the National Council on Problem Gambling, administering the Oklahoma Helpline, training to become a certified gambling counselor, working with tribes to promote responsible gambling, promoting awareness for problem gambling to the public and government officials, and working in cooperation with the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse. 

Tana Russell, SUDP, NCTTP, WSCGC-II, CGT became Assistant Director at Evergreen Council on Problem Gambling in 2019 and Deputy Director in 2024. She holds certifications as a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP), Washington State Certified Gambling Counselor II (WSCGC-II), Nationally Certified Tobacco Treatment Provider (NCTTP), Certified Gambling Disorder Trainer (CGT), and has completed specialized training and study on video/internet gaming disorder.  She serves on NCPG committees/workgroups, the Washington State Gambling Counselor Certification Committee, and other state workgroups and committees. She has written, co-authored and/or collaborated on the development of program curriculum for various treatment, training, and educational courses and trains gaming industry employees about responsible gaming policies and procedures.
