The scholarships were established, with the support of Recovery Café Network and Washington Healthcare Authority, to encourage and support participation by professionals who have applied to become a Washington State certified gambling counselor and hold a current certificate or license issued by the State of Washington to provide mental health or SUD treatment services to the public.
Scholarships are also available for Prevention Specialists, peer/recovery coaches, Students, School Counselors, or students and professors/school counselors at an accredited Washington State college and university behavioral health, addictions, and counseling programs. Scholarships are available for all ECPG-sponsored workshops and conferences.
Scholarships cover the cost of training/conference registration, a $100/night hotel stipend for up to 3 nights at the conference/training hotel (Enhanced Scholarships and Peer Scholarships cover 100% of hotel rate for up to three nights), Gambling Counselor (WSCGC) certification application fee of $150 for those who are applying for the first time, and a complimentary one-year ECPG Associate for first-time Associates.
ECPG Professional Development Scholarship Eligibility and Coverage
Training scholarships are available to those who reside, work, or go to school in WA state and who are treatment providers, prevention specialists, peers/recovery coaches, undergraduate and graduate students, and professors/counselors in accredited Washington State college and university behavioral health, addictions, and counseling programs. Applicants must be ECPG Associates to be eligible, and the Associate fee for the first year is waived with the first scholarship. Please note that individuals who no-show for an event, or do not complete a training they received the scholarship for, may not be able to receive the scholarship again in the future, as this costs ECPG money and wastes scholarship funds.
