Pride and Prejudice—Celebrate and Advocate
During Pride Month, there is much to celebrate and even more to reflect on how we need to make changes in health services for the LGBTQIA+ Community. Join us for our Kaleidoscope Live-Streaming Event on Friday, June 17, as we speak with experts in the Mental Health, Addictions, and Recovery field about Celebrating Accomplishments and Advocating for Equity in Mental Health Services.

Special Guests:

Shannon Solie, LMHC
Shannon Solie (They/Them) identifies as a white, queer, gender fluid/non-binary, abolitionist, and heart-forward human. They graduated with a Master of Arts in Psychology from Seattle University where they studied existential-phenomenological psychology. Shannon has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Washington with an emphasis in the Biopsychology of women. They have built upon their healing practices by engaging in learning energy work, death and dying care, transformative justice, and anti-racist actions.

Oblio Stroyman, M.Ed, MFT, QMHP
Oblio Stroyman, M.Ed, QMHP, NCGC-II, BACC (they, them, theirs) holds a Master’s degree in Education in Couples and Family Therapy, and an undergraduate degree in Sociology and Women and Gender Studies with a focus in family and sexuality. Oblio worked as a family therapist in the Eugene/Springfield community for 8 years, most specifically with LGBTQIA+ people and their significant others. They worked as a gambling counselor working with families and couples specifically and was a nationally certified gambling supervisor (BACC) for a number of years.

Joshua Wallace
CEO & President, Peer Washington
Joshua Wallace is the Executive Director of Peer Seattle, Peer Spokane and Peer Kent. He identifies as a person thriving in long-term recovery from mental health and addiction challenges and has been a member of Peer Seattle since 2006. He is a co-founder of the Washington Recovery Alliance and Washington Peer Advancement Coalition and currently serves as the co-chair of the Washington Behavioral Health Advisory Council. In his spare time, Joshua provides peer services consulting internationally on program development, evaluation, and training.
