What?

Do you know creative and talented teens and young adults? Apply NOW for a Youth Problem Gambling Awareness & The Arts Grant. Two or more grants ranging from $500 to $7,000 will be awarded to energetic youth groups.

- Create a dynamic youth problem gambling awareness message using the arts as the vehicle for the message.

- Draw or paint a mural or poster, sing, dance, perform, build a website.

- Use any art form showcasing your students’ talents.

- Winning projects will submit exciting proposals for creating a teen-to-teen or young adult-to-young adult message about problem gambling.

Why?

To spread youth awareness that gambling is potentially addictive and problem gambling is devastating to youth development. We’re not against gambling, we’re for awareness. Click on the list below to see each of last year’s amazing projects.

Who?

Public and private classes, clubs, private groups, etc. Middle school through young adult (Grades 7 – 12) and young adult college or tech students.

When?

Apply by January 28, 2011! Applications available in November.

Where?

Right in your own community! You can use the funding to purchase equipment or supplies, hire a guest artist to assist you on your project, hire a professional sound engineer or videographer to help you record your work—it’s up to you.
