Special Opportunity for Online Education

Participants in Introduction to Problem Gambling can receive an additional 18 hours of continuing Education Credits through our ALFIE Program (Adult Learning Forum for Integrated Education).  This hybrid training course will offer participants a unique chance to enjoy face-to-face training combined with the freedom of online training completed at your own pace.  The course consists of an initial class session on the basics of problem gambling treatment (April 25-26 at the Focus on the Future Conference), followed by ten online learning modules to be completed over a period of about seven weeks.  The class will meet again in June to discuss the material they learned online with an instructor and explore case management issues and case studies.  This course is a 34-hour package that allows participants to complete the full 30 hours required to become a Certified Gambling Counselor.
