Michael Brubaker, NCGC, began his career with the Navy. He was a trainer and counselor for the US Navy Alcoholism Treatment Specialist School, and acted as Senior Counselor for the Naval Rehabilitation Center in Long Beach, California. He has specialized in the treatment of such addictions as alcohol, gambling, drugs, food and tobacco, and has worked with patients and families affected by addictive behavior for more than 20 years. Mike has also worked extensively as both an administrator and coordinator of inpatient and outpatient treatment centers. He is co-author of the book Deadly Odds, which closely examines the behaviors of the compulsive gambler. He is a certified gambling counselor.
